Terms of Service

Bit Explains — effective 17 July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Bit Explains website (bitexplains.org) and the Bit Explains publishing platform (together, the "Service"), operated by mickMind (Mick Baruffato), a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark ("mickMind", "we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Plain-language summary. Bit Explains produces original animated children's stories and distributes them to its channels on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok through those platforms' official APIs. This website presents the series and its episode library. All content is original and owned by mickMind.

1. The Service

The Service comprises (a) this website, which presents the Bit Explains series, its episode library and channel information; and (b) the Bit Explains publishing platform, which uploads and schedules the series' original episodes to connected social-media channels using each platform's official developer APIs — on TikTok, the Login Kit (user.info.basic) and the Content Posting API (video.upload, video.publish).

2. Connected accounts and authorised use

Social-media accounts may only be connected to the publishing platform by their owner or a person expressly authorised to manage them. Anyone connecting an account must comply with the terms and community guidelines of the relevant platform, including the TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok content-sharing guidelines. Before any direct publication to TikTok, the platform queries the creator's current posting settings via /v2/post/publish/creator_info/query/ and honours them.

3. Content ownership

All Bit Explains episodes, artwork, characters (including Bit) and text are original works owned by mickMind. Content published through the Service must be original or properly licensed, lawful, family-appropriate and compliant with each destination platform's policies. You may not copy, redistribute or commercially exploit our content without written permission — sharing links to our episodes and channels is of course always welcome.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any law or platform terms; (b) upload content to accounts without authorisation; (c) generate spam or artificial engagement; (d) attempt to access other users' data; or (e) interfere with, reverse-engineer or overload the Service or any connected platform's API.

5. Third-party platforms

The Service relies on APIs operated by third parties (TikTok, Google/YouTube, Meta). Their availability and policies are outside our control, and your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. Platform access may change or be revoked at any time.

6. Availability and changes

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; the effective date above always reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, mickMind shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from use of the Service.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
